Purchasing a License for My Own Biome
My Own Biome is currently sold on a per-site, or per lab, basis. Each site license includes the following:
- Installation for an unlimited number of seats at the physical location of the site.
- One home copy for all teachers and other faculty currently employed at the site.*
- One home copy for all students currently enrolled at the site.*
*Site administrators are responsible for the distribution of home copies in a manner that provides reasonable protection against unauthorized distribution, such as distribution via cd-rom or secure download. Lab licenses do not include this right.
A lab license allows the installation for up to 30 seats in a single lab. This license does not allow for the distribution of home copies to students and teachers.
Single-seat licenses allow institutions such as schools and museums to purchase licenses on a per-seat basis. This license does not allow for the distribution of home copies to students and teachers.
Home licenses allow use by individuals in their homes only. They are not allowed in public settings such as schools, libraries, or other venues with multiple and changing user groups.
